The kids are all at school, fresh coffee is in hand, the house is fairly quiet….as quiet as can be with 2 dogs and three cats in attendance….lol. I am gearing up for a bowling birthday party on Sat. to be followed by a small sleepover later in the day….my youngest and three others……..eeek!! lol

I am taking her shopping for her birthday  gift after the bowling part of the party….and she’s asked if she can have a pedicure too so hopefully we can squeek that in on the way home, I took her for one about a 2 months ago and she is now hooked!! 🙂 Maybe I’ll snag a quick manicure while she get’s her tootsies tended to!

Here’s my latest layout as well…..a fun summer moment with her caught on camera!!!! I LOVE this layout, every once in a while I nail one that is truely me, truely my style that truely represents how I “SEE” things…..and this is one of them 🙂 🙂 She loves it too!!! 🙂           (… image to view larger…..)

Here’s a sweet layout made using a few of my newest SVG files for SCAL. I used Flower Power and Medallion, you can find them here! I just love these colors together, the background is a deep salmon color in case your monitor doesn’t display it correctly. This wee little bird (a house wren) was another one of my rescues….and yes he/she recovered and was fine! 🙂

Jayme at ScrapbookingFanatics held a li’l online baby shower for Martina (congrats Martina & family… and welcome Karissa!!!) and we are making a bunch of 8×8 baby pages to send to her for Karissa’s album, here’s my first one with a closeup of the flower…. it’s not a really intricate layout but I totally slowed down and really enjoyed making this 🙂 That’s what it’s all about right….creative joy!!! 🙂

The other page I am making is her birth info/stats  page so I will update this post with a photo of that sometime tomorrow 🙂  Hopefully these layouts will give you some inspiration for working on your own, or someone elses baby pages!

Here are two layouts using my newest kit for Scrapbook Max! These should be in thier store in a few days! I totally LOVE this digi kit…..yum yum!! lol

I had the absolute pleasure of taking my kids, ages 24, 14 and 10, to the recent Burton Cummings/Randy Bachman concert in Abbotsford….he, Burton, really still does “have it”! At the age of 61 his voice contains a deeper resonance than it ever did in his younger days but that just seems to add to his voice….not detract from it!
I think the most amazing thing about this experience has been that I have given my kids a deeper appreciation for the music I have always loved…for over 35 years!!……now I don’t have to fight with them for the CD player in my car….they WANT me to put in his CD’s… fact they insist on it….lol!!!!! Life is good!! 🙂
Here’s an interview with him about his new CD “Above The Ground” which I have on order. It’s the first cd he’s ever written and produced entirely on his own! Can’t wait to get it in my hands!!
