still no sign of our Tina 😦 I was looking for a picture of her to put on flyers, that we just delivered to the mail boxes in our area, and found this…..my little dd made this hat for her about 3 weeks ago and she modeled it even though she didn’t want to…..she is missed terribly 😦
So….. I decided to pull out my brayer and a very very OLD set of multicolored Colorbox inks the other day (one of the “Paintbox” kind) …..and had so much fun making one of these cards that I ended up creating a boxed set of 6!! I used some trimmed ends from the card fronts to help decorate the belly-band around the box.
The box is a clear acetate box from Paper Trey, they really are da bomb when it comes to boxing up gift sets of cards!!!! Love them!! (Here is a Canadian source for these types of boxes!!)
Here are the individual cards below…I used misc. stamps (just rummaged through my vast collection and used whatever inspired me), clear embossing powder that had a blue sparkle, dark charcoal pigment ink to stamp the images, stickles to highlight things and some sharpies to color the odd image in….and of course my trusty Fiskars scalloped scissors to edge the tops and bottoms of the card fronts. The moon is also made using Fiskars new Yellow pigment ink pad. The ribbon/trim is the olive loop braid from Savvynsassy’s august kit .
This cat, Boris, had a broken back and I have seen him, and visited with him, at our local shelter, he is doing amazingly and now walks very well……and…..has found a forever home!!!!! What an amazingly lucky little cat to have found Christine at FVHS!! She is hands down the coolest “cat” lady I know!!
I am posting this video because Tina, who we adopted, from this shelter, over a year ago has disappeared since yesterday afternoon……sigh 😦 We have had the worst luck with cats this summer….but….DH went right out and adopted another this morning….and….this one is NOT getting outside!!!!! Ever!!!! Nor is the kitten we adopted a few months ago!! It just breaks our hearts when they don’t return 😦 . Tina was being watched like a hawk, but still managed to slip outside yet again…..big sigh!! 😦
