Sharing a creative life, one post at a time!

Monthly Archives: December 2007

I found these painted wooden disks at my dollar store last week….a whole small box for $2.00!!!!!
Not sure what I will do with them but they are about the size of a poker chip and with a little bit of customizing they would make adorable flowers…..or something….lol. 🙂

I love that christmas song…and it makes me cry…always! So what happens when your dd stands up at a concert and sings it with her friends????….LOTSA TEARS…from everyone, not just me….lol. I lost both my parents throughout the holiday season many years ago…makes it even tougher to hear a song like that!! Anyways, here’s a layout from the concert, paper is by Scenic Route (Roxbury) and the ribbon is from Savvynsassy.

I have had two of these wire forms since the summer so I decided to alter one of them. I used the Savvynsassy ZZ Dec. ribbon kit (Out and About) and some Prima flowers and crystal centers to add some pizzaz to it!!!

Here are a few more things I made with this great kit!!

This first project (a 4×6 album) will contain 24 photos from a day in our family’s lives, all ribbon from

I added the chipboard, glitter and buttons to this layout from my stash, the rest is from the kit.

This layout below has extra chipboard, a charm and glitter added, the rest is from the kit.

..and for this card I trimmed the Prima sprite flower in half and coated the halves with Rangers Crackle accents, this caused the petals to curl, very neat effect.

 Christmas Morning Casserole

In a large skillet, brown sausage, crumble and drain.

Butter a 9×13 casserole dish. Place bread (torn into bite size pieces) in bottom of dish. Place sausage on top of bread. Sprinkle cheese over top

In a large bowl mix beaten eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard. Blend well. Pour over other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight

Overnight Caramel French Toast

Well I jumped right back into creating upon returning from our trip….the break totally refreshed my creative spirit!! This first layout used Scrapbooking Fanatics Dec. kit as well as some white trim from Savvynsassy’s Dec. ZZ ribbon Kit (Out & About).

This card and layout below are also from the Scrapbooking Fanatics Dec. Kit…..this kit is just toooooooo yummy for words!!!!! (I’m the baby in these photos…lol)

And this coffee sleeve album below contains 7 photos from our recent trip and was accented with SavvynSassy’s Dec. ZZ ribbon kit (copper ribbon) as well as other various SNS ribbons. The large Prima flower on the front was glazed and then glittered!!

Love the Prima “Say It In Crystals” bling. I used pink flourishes on this card, cut apart a zigzag strip for the tree and used  some Prima flowers too. The background was embossed using a cuttlebug folder and the bird is from maya Road. I embossed a matching envelope as well….enjoy!
