My Flower Soft Projects

Here are a few things made with this awesome product!!  There will be more in the near future too, just need to make some TIME!! lol (..do they sell that anywhere? lol

This layout below uses the “Sweet Pea” color mix. For the sun, I hand drew the shape lightly in pencil and used Aleenes Tacky Glue (works just like the Flower Soft adhesive) and spread it where I wanted it with my finger. I sprinkled the Flower Soft onto the wet glue and tapped off the excess…..it is that easy!!!!!!. Once dry I lightly highlighted around the image with a colored marker.
For the buttons and curly wire stem I used the Flower Soft brand adhesive and put the base of the coated wire into a chunk of foam till it dried. (I used a 1/2inch thick piece of foam packaging that some brads had come in). See gallery for CloseUps!

This card below  was made using the Summer & the Sweet Pea color mix as well as the Country Topper (Window)see Gallery for closeups…..can’t wait to get MORE colors to play with!!

Here are a few tips that will be useful when working with the Flower Soft:

1-It comes in small acrylic pots but you will need to dump it into a larger plastic container, much like you might do with glitter or embossing powder. Fluff it up gently until it all separates and store it with the lid on. You will end up with about 3 or 4 times the volume of what was packed in the little pot!
When it’s in the larger container you can hold your glued item over the container and simply sprinkle the Flower Soft so that it falls down onto the glue, all the mess falls back into the container!!(..never dip your glued item into the container!!)

2-It is acid free shaved foam so use freely without worrying about wrecking your photos!!

3-You can use more than one layer….just make sure the first layer is dry before adding more glue and Flower Soft.

4-Not only can you use it on cards using the pre-printed card Toppers that Stix2 provides, you can use it free form…….wherever you can put white, clear drying, tacky PVA glue, you can put Flower Soft! Try it on altered projects, ATC’s, cards, on stamped images, on styrofoam shapes, fabric, on plain or painted chipboard, buttons, die cuts (both the positive and/or negative shapes)…..etc etc.

5-You can also add a little micro fine glitter to your project by sprinkling it over the flower soft and glue while the glue is still wet. It is heavier than the Flower Soft so it falls into the little cracks and crannies and adds a subtle shimmer! Don’t mix glitter with the flower soft in your container….as stated, it is heavier and will sink to the bottom and not mix properly!

6-You can add additional color and shading to your flower soft project by using dimensional colorants such as the “Smooch” paints!

Edited to Add: Here are two more cards made using Flower Soft and my existing stamps:
