I L♥VE This Printer!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of taking in the Canada Day celebrations with my two youngest kids and two of thier friends today…..FUN!!!! Got lots of photos…..and the kids got sunburned….just a little……lol!

Since it also happens to be my birthday I got to do a little shoppin’ on the way home (yep ….I am closer to 50 than 45 as of today….lol)….. my hubby wanted me to get myself a dedicated photo printer…..sooooooo…..I decided on the new Epson “Dash” …..got home, set it up and printed off a whack of photos from today…easy peasy!!!!! AND…..the photo quality is awesome!!!!!! What more could a scrapbooker ask for!!!!!

They say the prints end up being 20some cents apiece (U.S.) …but if you keep some extra Epson 4×6 photo papers handy you can stretch that out a little bit….I think I printed 5-8 more photos than what I was supposed to print with the  starter ink/paper  pack that comes with the printer…..makes the prints even cheaper still!!

I really love playing with canvas and was thrilled when I found this round one at an art store in Langley!! Played a bit with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens on it too!

he’s still got it!

I had the absolute pleasure of taking my kids, ages 24, 14 and 10, to the recent Burton Cummings/Randy Bachman concert in Abbotsford….he, Burton, really still does “have it”! At the age of 61 his voice contains a deeper resonance than it ever did in his younger days but that just seems to add to his voice….not detract from it!
I think the most amazing thing about this experience has been that I have given my kids a deeper appreciation for the music I have always loved…for over 35 years!!……now I don’t have to fight with them for the CD player in my car….they WANT me to put in his CD’s…..in fact they insist on it….lol!!!!! Life is good!!
Here’s an interview with him about his new CD “Above The Ground” which I have on order. It’s the first cd he’s ever written and produced entirely on his own! Can’t wait to get it in my hands!!

Teresa Collins “Documented” Album

Jayme over at ScrapFan sent me the Teresa Collins Documented paper  pack to play with so this is what I have come up with! (thanks J.!!)  :) Since many of the accents are 6×12 I decided to make a 6×12 album… all about ME! I have not added any of the photos or journaling yet but it is ready to go!! I plan on finishing this up in early July, in fact I have challenged myself to finish it …..and to add LOTS of journaling….something I don’t do enough of!!

The red flap on the front is a Teresa Collins Bracket chipboard album cover, I just used one of the covers. I also used a Bind-It-All by Zutter to “bind it all” together!..lol

On the inside I added a few extra 6×12 Kraft pages, some MM Metal Pebble keys, a few Maya Road Velvet Stitched Blossoms and a smattering of stamping and/or painting on the blank kraft pages. Inside the red envelope with the string closure I have tucked a few more of the medium sized journaling cards from the Documented pack (they cover subjects such as “favorites”, “things I want to do” and “things I value most”), it provided the perfect place to store these! On the front I hung a Tim holtz word key!

I basically used the entire “Documented” paper pack  as all I have left from it is about 4 of the smaller journaling cutouts which I will tuck in here and there with photos!!!! And as you can see, I will be able to cram a TON of information into this not-so-big album!!!!!

I have this MASSIVE collection of digital vintage images and I am going to start sharing my favorites with you once in a while! For the most part I do not know where they came from, alot of them I’ve had for nearly 10 years…lol.

This first image is for all you scrapbookers…I’ve edited it slightly, the right edge of the border was cut off completely so I replaced/repaired it and edited the colors somewhat to give it a little more vibrancy without loosing it’s vintage appeal…..click on image below to open full sized  and  save to your PC….enjoy!
